☆ Lime lemon ice cream ☆



lime lemon ice cream..how's that..not the usual sweet flavoured ice cream




sour stuff are not my favourite but just trying it out..a balance of lime, lemon n sweet red plums can be refreshing, not going to minus any sugar level this time..
initial step is to heat the sugar, n the lime lemon juice...tasted that, its not too sour :)
whisked the other basic ingredients..


added milk n cooked over a pot of simmering water until the texture thickens;
final whisking of the double cream




after adding the double cream to the cooked mixture, the final step is to add the sweet plum..love the colour


didnt quite expect such a creamy texture..probably the fat content in the double cream is higher..heh.

☆ Strawberry Mille-feuille ☆




i'm proud to announce its french pâtissière :P ..strawberry mille-feuille with puff pastry
the earlier one i made in april was Chou Mille-feuille using choux pastry, the same pastry for cream puff..to think of it since its the same basic pastry..cream puff would probably be in my upcoming recipe



preparation of custard 。。
step one: whisking the basic ingredients for custard..
step two: prepared seperately, the double cream n milk is to be heated on the stove



steps three n four: combine the above n sieve over to the pot which is to be heated again
once heated, the custard will thicken..
afterwhich to place the pot over iced water n the custard's ready..



meanwhile..
baking the puff pastry



bought korean strawberries..the strawberries are petite..cute! bought blueberries too..should have saved them for another recipe..blueberry crumble..eh next time..



the last step's simple..pipe the custard over the puff pastry n top with strawberries~


this is day 2's breakfast.. two-layered mille-feuille with fruits..its good to start the day with a healthy doze of fruity vitamins..yumz

☆ Black sesame ice cream ☆




bought the same black pudding mix the other day..wanted to try the 2nd recipe 黒ごまアイス
instead of 400ml milk for the earlier pudding recipe, this recipe needs 300ml milk n 100ml double cream

whisk the double cream to 70% full;
just like the earlier pudding recipe, bring the pudding mix n milk to boil;
place the pudding mix over ice water to cool the mixture, then mix well with the double cream; afterwhich to freeze the ice cream

all preparations are done in just within half hour..




with the double cream added, the sweetness level is slightly lesser than the pudding~ still good though..prefer it less sweet :)

☆ Black sesame pudding ☆



Preparations are made easy with the pudding mix..heh :) all japanese instruction in the pack though..but its manageable
just mix the sachet with 400ml of milk and bring to boil, lower the fire and cook for approximately 1 min






Cool the mixture for about 10 mins before freezing the pudding for an hour. the sesame taste is nice and not overwhelming~♪ :)

☆ Snowball cookies ☆

薄力粉 Cake flour ・・・・・100g
アーモンドパウダー Almond powder ・・・・・50g
バター・無塩 Unsalted Butter ・・・・・70g
グラニュー糖 Sugar・・・・・50g
粉砂糖 Icing sugar・・・・・適量

and they published the energy level..its 277kcal :P

the ingredients n steps are similar to the almond cookie method so its relatively simple. Preparation n baking took lesser than an hour~ :)
