the colour is of green tea powder, all natural :)
..initial ingredients for the black sesame moon cake
makes a nice combination in taste..colour contrast as well

botanic gardens
was at botanic gardens for a musical concert just last evening with a couple of my students
should have brought my digital camera..these pics were taken via my mobile
didn't quite expect such nice greenery
time was tight, so the pics were just taken randomly
great weather this evening :) the pic effect's pretty good...looks quite like a some nice professional shot..heh

★ Milk Crisp Bread ★
haven't been posting for a while..kind of forgot the font and picture settings
anyway i updated my baking groceries..
started with the simplest step of whisking the butter with icing sugar n milk powder
the butter dough is then wrapped in the bread dough- which was whisked in the bread machine.. the bread dough looks pretty much like mochi.. (click to view enlarged pic)
the bread dough is then topped with dessicated coconut..but still looks like mochi in a way.. :)
the bread only proof in size a little..probably not much yeast was used in the recipe..
the coconut garnish the bread nicely and compliments the taste well :)

back to bread baking..havent quite used the bread machine for some time
good thing is i'm not that addicted to butter..cakes n desserts can put on hold :)
pretty basic ingredients, dried apricot and sunflower seeds
the pic above is before proofing..doubles a whole lot after the proofing, the recipe makes eight :)

☆ Cherry turnover ☆
cherries are in season..bought california bing cherries;
there were some puff pastry left in the freezer, combine the two n its cherry turnover.. real convenient :)
add lemon juice n castor sugar to the cherry filling..
shape the pastry and top the turnover with more sugar before baking
warm cherries oozing from the pastry..pretty much like jam..yum!
