★ Matcha milk ★

looking back march to may this year were crazy months..bakings were too intensive..heh
had some craving for matcha dessert..vanilla ice cream's still sitting in the fridge, so no matcha sorbet for now..



matcha milk seems like the simplest recipe ever..
matcha powder+warm milk + honey and thats it..5 mins is all you need

★ Vanilla ice cream ★

made with reference to my Japanese recipe book, the steps are different from the previous ice cream methods. no wonder Japanese products are expensive..with the amount and cost of ingredients used, this recipe makes only 500ml..my previous recipe can triple this volume, hah.

onto the preparation, instead of whisking the double cream at the last stage, the double cream is to be cooked with scraped vanilla seeds from the vanilla pod and milk, that's step one

that's fresh vanilla pods..cost is equivalent to a good bottle of vanilla essence. it's only fragrant after the cooking.

whisked the yolks..which acts as the emulsifier.

combine the above mixture and cook under direct heat until the mixture thickens

the recipe's pretty good..vanilla flavour's rich and the texture's somewhat different though, its creamier n thicker..you got to click to enlarge to see the black vanilla bean specks, looks fab on the ice cream :)

★ chocolate lava cake ★

this was one of the baking workshop recipe pictures, the preparations are simple, probably investing on a good recipe book would work better than workshops next time..

whats great about this recipe is that the chocolate lava cake can be prepared ahead of time, just simply freeze the mixture in the mould and bake as and when u like.



baked the 2nd batch at home..



this has to be eaten warm..the chocolate melts in the centre tastes amazingly good :)

the anime's really new, just started March this year n episodes are still ongoing..unlike other animes, the episodes are short.. just a few mins long..

★ Cherry Yogurt Parfait ★

bought fresh cherries..intended for cherry muffin or cherry tart

since my dad bought the apricot n almond muesli earlier, might as well make the best use of it

i just need yogurt for the parfait..bought the yoplait yoplus yogurt, quite ex btw.. :p taste kind of bland though..but nevermind since they claim its low fat n healthy :)

for parfaits.. just simply assemble the cherries, top with yogurt, repeat the layering..great for breakfast :)
